COSHOCTON: Rita Kyle, age 80 of Coshocton formerly of Athens died Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus. Born October 23, 1932 in Madison Township, Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late James H. Peck and Neva Matheny Peck.
A graduate of Groveport-Madison High School, she was a homemaker. She was a resident of Athens from 1951-1996, living at the family farm on Clover Lane in Athens from 1955. She moved to Coshocton after her husband's passing. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, crocheting, flowers and jigsaw puzzles.
Rita is survived by a daughter, Rebecca (Tom Van Vleet) Kyle of Delaware; three sons, Robert (Betty) Kyle of Coshocton, Richard (Lora) Kyle of Isle, Illinois, and Ronald (Cheryl) Kyle of Columbia, Missouri; special friends, Tom Withers of Pomeroy and Lesa Withers of The Plains; 11 grandchildren and three great grandchildren; a sister, Sue (James) Culp of Reynoldsburg; and a brother, Butch (Mary) Peck of Baltimore.
Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Dale W. Kyle, who died in 1995; also several sisters and brothers are deceased.
A private family graveside service at Alexander Cemetery, Hebbardsville, will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are with Jagers & Sons Funeral Home, Athens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of donor's choice.
