Margaret "Mary" Bradford Kohl

COSHOCTON: Margaret "Mary" Bradford Kohl, 93, passed away on Friday, January 31, 2014.

She was born on June 7, 1920 in North Canton, Ohio, the daughter of the late Emery and Mary (Sifferin) Saylor.

Mary worked for Pope-Gosser Pottery, Shaw Barton, and General Electric, from which she retired in 1973. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Alter Rosary Society, District 4, and the Catholic Women's Club. Mary enjoyed gardening, preserving and canning, reading, card club, and loved spending time with her family.

She married James E. Bradford in March of 1936, he preceded her in death in August 1972. In April 1976, she married Clarence Kohl, who preceded her in death in January 1993.

Mary is survived by her children, James (Sandy Miller) Bradford of Coshocton, Mary Smeyres of Massillon, Fred (Eloise Kahoun) Bradford of Beloit, Ohio, Sue (Jack) Meredith of Coshocton, Sara Long of Coshocton, and Joyce Corbett of Coshocton; step-son, Jerry Bowman of Coshocton; 22 grandchildren; 46 great grandchildren; 20 great-great grandchildren; brother, Ron (Jane Adams) Saylor; sister, Naomi Murphy; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and two husbands, Mary is preceded in death by two grandchildren, Dale Smeryres, and Lisa Bradford McBride; brother John Saylor; and six sisters, Catherine Eberhardt, Lucy Andrews, Betty Bash, Victoria Wentzel, Evelyn Richards, and Anne Stewart.

Funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at 10:30am with Fr. William Hritsko officiating. Burial will follow at Coshocton County Memory Gardens. Calling hours will be held at Given-Dawson Funeral Home on Monday, February 3, 2014 from 5:00-8:00pm, with a Rosary Service beginning at 7:45pm. There will also be one hour of visitation at Given-Dawson Funeral Home just prior to the service on Tuesday.
