Roger Ridenour

WEST LAFAYETTE: Roger C. Ridenour, age 85, of West Lafayette, passed away on Friday, February 28, 2014. He was born in West Lafayette, on May 3, 1928, to the late Otto Samuel and Florence (Crile) Ridenour.

Roger was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving from 1950 to 1954. He worked for General Electric until his retirement in 1988. Roger was a member of the West Lafayette United Methodist Church. He was a member of the West Lafayette Lions Club and the West Lafayette Masonic Lodge. Roger always enjoyed having a pet around especially his dog and he went every year to Lake Michigan to go fishing.

Roger is survived by his twin brother, Robert "Bob" (Marylou) Ridenour; four nieces, Karen Weidner, Susan Genet, Debbie Ingell, and Ann Lipe and one nephew, Kurt West. In addition to his parents, Roger is preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Jack West and one nephew, John West.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 9, 2014, at 3:00 pm at the West Lafayette United Methodist Church with Pastor Sue Chidley officiating. A Masonic service to follow. Burial will follow at a later date with the Coshocton County Veterans Council performing military honors.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the West Lafayette United Methodist Church, 120 West Union Ave., West Lafayette, Ohio 43845.
