Carlos E. Hogue

ADAMSVILLE: Carlos E. Hogue, 92, of Adamsville, Ohio died Tuesday morning, March 11, 2014 at The Oaks of Bethesda in Zanesville.

Born November 11, 1921 in Adamsville he was a son of the late Alvin J. and Ethel May (King) Hogue and was a 1939 graduate of Adamsville High School. He was an Army veteran of World War II was very proud of the service that he gave to our country. Carlos was a life-long dairy farmer, he love picking apples and other fruit and he was a very avid Tri-Valley sports fan. He was a member of the Adamsville United Methodist Church and the Farm Bureau. He was a former member of Eureka Grange for over 60 years and he served many years as an Adams Township trustee and a 4-H club advisor.

Surviving is his loving wife of 64 years, Waunita M. (Johnson) Hogue whom he married November 20, 1949; two sons and daughters in-law, Larry and Pam Hogue and Gary and Lori Hogue, all of Adamsville; five grandchildren, Ryan (Amber) Hogue, Eric (Shannah) Hogue, Alan Hogue, Mark (Liz) Hogue and Michelle (Brandon) Barr; seven great grandchildren, Alex, Erin, Megan, Tim, Garrett, Bryce and Kynlee; a brother, Floyd (Jeannine) Hogue of Adamsville and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Lapp.

Calling hours will be 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm Sunday, March 16, 2014 at the Adamsville United Methodist Church, 8065 East Street, Adamsville.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm Monday, March 17, 2014 at the Adamsville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Kurtis Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Adamsville United Methodist Church, Post Office Box 395, Adamsville, Ohio 43802.
