Wilma L. Spigelmire

PERRYSVILLE: Wilma L. Spigelmire, 83, of Perrysville, died Friday, August 15, in Smithville-Western Care Center, Wooster after an extended illness.

Wilma was born April 4, 1931 in Warsaw, the daughter of the late Howard S. and Vennie L. (Wilson) Darr. She was a graduate of Warsaw High School, and a Perrysville area resident the past 35 years moving from Wooster. She had worked many years at the Farmers and Savings Bank, Loudonville and Perrysville before her retirement. Wilma was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Perrysville and a former member of the Perrysville Village council. In her leisure time she enjoyed cookin, gardening, crocheting and quilting, but her true love was her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Sherry (Robert) Sage of Shreve; her step-son, Rick Spigelmire of Wooster; three grandchildren, William Miller, Mike Sage and Kelly Sage; five great grandchildren, Josh, Jason and Natasha Miller, and Mikayla and Jacob Sage; three great great grandchildren, Colton, Madison and Landon Lee Miller; three step great grandchildren, Caleb, Sean, and Hannah Frontz; her sister, Elma Carnes of Coshocton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Lee Spigelmire, two brothers, Earl and Rudy Darr and six sisters, Iva Rauschenbaugh, Delphia McKelvey, Helen Stone, Dorothy Parks, Eilene McDaniel, and Harriet Schryock.

Funeral services will be held Monday, August 18 at 1:00pm in LINDSEY FUNERAL HOME, LOUDONVILLE, with Pastor Kathleen Walkerow officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Perrysville. Friends and family are invited to visit on Monday from 10am until 1pm in the funeral home.
