COSHOCTON : Anita Mae Watson, age 93, passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2014, at Coshocton Health and Rehab. She was born on May 26, 1921, in Boone, N.C. the daughter of the late Jefferson and Ada (Rogers) Hampton.
She graduated from West Lafayette High School and on August 29, 1939, Anita married Max Watson who preceded her in death on September 6, 1995. She was a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Coshocton, Ohio where she served as a deaconess and on the missions committee.
Anita is survived by her three sons, William Lloyd Watson, Kenneth Larry (Joyce) Watson, and Robert Allen (Cindy) Watson; seven grandchildren, Sherri (John) Smith, Kristine Ferris, Keith Watson, Marlys (Pat) Bradshaw, Mark (Heather) Watson Robin Watson, and Rusty Watson; and six great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Ferris, Bea, Gus, and Eloise Watson, Taylor and Brynn Watson. Along with her parents and husband, Anita is preceded in death by her sister, Ferol Harper; four brothers, Boyce, Charles, Ray and Orlie Hampton; and one daughter-in-law, Marianne (Felver) Watson.
Per Anita's wishes, there will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 22, 2014, at 11:00 am at Roscoe Cemetery with Pastor Joe Sanders officiating.
