COSHOCTON: Gladys Evelyn Erbaugh, age 95, passed away Sunday, September 30, 2012, at Autumn Health Care, Coshocton. She was born in Weiser, Idaho, January 12, 1917, to the late David Henry and Cora Jane (Broadwater) Holl. On April 3, 1940, she married Samuel Eldon Erbaugh, who passed away May 25, 1963. They lived and raised their family in Logan, OH.
Mrs. Erbaugh was a homemaker and Bridgewater College (VA) librarian before moving to Coshocton County where she worked as a Grandma in the Head Start program. She was a member of the Church of the Brethren most of her life. Currently she was a member of the West Lafayette United Methodist Church. She enjoyed traveling, walking, reading and spending time with her family. Mrs. Erbaugh is survived by daughter, Linda Tucker of West Lafayette, and son Tom (Sharon) of Mentor, OH; grandchildren, Anita Tucker (Bob Bellamy), Valerie Erbaugh Houseknecht (Justin), and Adam Samuel Erbaugh (Meghan); great-grandchildren, Anna Houseknecht and Nathan Houseknecht, and a third expected in November; and two sisters-in-law, Miriam Holl and Phyllis Erbaugh. Mrs. Erbaugh was predeceased by her husband, parents, three brothers and three sisters.
A graveside service and inurnment will be held Friday, October 5, 2012, in New Lebanon, OH. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm Saturday, October 6, at West Lafayette United Methodist Church, followed by a Memorial Service at 2:00 pm with Pastor Sue Chidley officiating.
