FRAZEYSBURG: Dorotha Priest, 92, of Frazeysburg, Ohio died Saturday morning December 22, 2012 at Emeritus at North Hills in Zanesville.
Born July 25, 1920 in Jackson Township of Muskingum County Dorotha was the tenth of twelve children born to the late Elvin and Volora (Coulter) Wolford. She was a 1938 graduate of Frazeysburg High School and she attended the Frazeysburg Community Bible Church. Dorotha was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, sewing and reading, but she received her most enjoyment from her family. She treasured them all and tried to fulfill all their needs. There was nothing she wouldn't do to help any of them.
Surviving are four sons, James Priest of Frazeysburg, Tom (Cathy) Priest of Coshocton, Ricky (Becky) Priest of Frazeysburg and Randy (Polly) Priest of Trinway; three daughters, Carla (Fred) Bennett of Frazeysburg, Judy (Richard) Goetz of Dresden and Christy (Rick) Lacy of Dresden; a special daughter in-law, Sandy Priest of Heath; twenty-four grandchildren; forty-three great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her step-father, Lloyd Wolford; her husband, James Richard Priest whom she married February 14, 1942 and who died November 5, 1973; a son Charles Lloyd Priest who died May 1, 2007; a daughter in-law Anna Priest who died April 16, 1985; a son in-law Michael Brennen who died May 16, 1990; six brothers and five sisters.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm Thursday, December 27, 2012 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street.
Funeral services will be 11:00am Friday, December 28, 2012 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
