Elmer H. "Red" Boals, Jr. - "Together Again"
WARSAW: Elmer H. "Red" Boals, Jr., 84, of 673 Blissfield Rd., died Monday Feb. 11, 2013 at his residence.
He was born Oct. 31, 1928 in Van Lear, KY to the late Elmer H. and Mattie May (Leslie) Boals, Sr. He married Norma E. (Wheeler) Boals on Sept. 18, 1952, whom preceded him in death after nearly 60 years of marriage on July 7, 2012. He served in the US Navy from 1945-1947, and the US Army from 1948-1950. He was a heavy equipment operator, worked in plumbing and heating, oil fields, and retired form Boals Logging. He enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, and canning food for friends and family.
He is survived by his children; Elizabeth A. Walsh of Warsaw, Kelly H. (Annette) Boals and Michael A. (Teresa) Boals, both of Coshocton, Susan L. (Mike) Dilly of Warsaw, and Jennifer L. (Aaron) Stutz of Danville, thirteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, one expected great-great-grandson, a very special friend and adopted daughter, Robin (Dave) Snyder of Warsaw, and one brother, Bill Boals of Zanesville.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, a grandson, and two great-granddaughters.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday Feb. 15, 2013 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw with Pastor Bill Dunfee officiating. Burial will follow in Coshocton Co. Memory Gardens.
