Bobby E. Weathers

WEST LAFAYETTE: Bobby E. Weathers, age 79, of West Lafayette, OH died Friday, April 19, 2013 at Community Hospice House in New Philadelphia with his family by his side.

He was born on Saturday, March 31, 1934 in Lincolnton, N.C. to the late Marvin and Lola (McCorkle) Weathers. He retired in 1996 after 42 years of service from the Brook Park Engine Plant Ford Motor Company in Brook Park. Bobby proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army during the Korean War Conflict. He was a member of the Newcomerstown Churches of Christ in Christian Union. On July 21, 1996 he married the "Love" of his life, Leveda (Hazen) Weathers, who survives.

He is also survived by his daughters; Tracy Weathers of Cleveland, Kathryn (John) Koldenhof of Lake Havasu, AZ; his son, Robbie (Marilyn) Weathers of Elyria, OH; a step-daughter, Rhonda (David) Darling of Brunswick, OH; and a step-son, Eugene Blackwell of Thompson, OH, his brothers; Bill Weathers of Newton, NC, Larry (Mary) Weathers of Claremont, NC, and Donald (Linda) Weathers of Maiden, NC; and his sisters; Peggy Ann Weathers of Newton, NC and Christine Gantt of Fort Mills, NC; his grandchildren; Scott (Ashley) Darling, Justin Weathers and Brandon Weathers-Ferguson; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers; Jay, Frank and James; and two sisters; Louise Reid and Dorothy Johnston.

Visitation will be on Monday, April 22, 2013 from 5 to 7 pm at the Addy Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, April 23,2013 at 11 am with Pastor Jim Reed officiating. Military services for Bobby will be conducted by the Newcomerstown Honor Guard following the funeral.
