Mac "Roland" Pullen was born July 30, 1930 in Joyce, LA. And passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2013 in Montgomery, TX. He is preceded in death by his parents, Roland Sr. and Esther Pullen; grandson, John McCray Kee.
Mac was survived by his wife, Carahan Pullen; daughter, Donna Kee and husband David; son, Donnie Wallett and wife Rebecca; daughter, Laurie Ille and husband Randy; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Era Byrd Chandler and husband Weldon, Janice Hunter; sister-in-law, Iris Frieman; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Mac served in the U.S. Navy, Airborne division of the U.S. Army and served in the Korean Conflict. He was a 32nd degree Mason and in the Scottish rite. Hobbies included rv travel, flying, golf, outdoor nature, wildlife and loved being around his family. He was a friend of Bill W. for many years. He was an animal lover and animal advocate.
Memorial service to be held 12:00 p.m., Saturday, August 3, 2013 at First Christian Church, 3500 N. Loop W 336, Conroe, TX. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Montgomery County Animal Shelter.
