Janelee: I am so sorry to hear about Dick. I am glad that he was active in the Church. I owe so much to him. He talked me into going to Miami with him and choosing Aviation as a major then joining the Air Force ROTC, applying for pilot training, joining the Air Force as a pilot and then going to the Airlines. I couldn't get with Delta but got on with United. All I had to do was to follow in his footsteps. I would have Delta pilots ridding my jump seat and when ask if they knew Dick they all had good things to say about him.
He will be missed and you and your family will be in my nightly prayers.

People pass away but are not gone as long as we remember them. Dick, like so many of the pilots in the Houston base stands in my memory as a solid, reliable, and good natured person who was a joy to work with. I can see his face and hear him talk as if it were yesterday. I was very fortunate to have known him. My blessings to you, the family.

I'm so sorry to hear of Squeaks passing. I don't think he ever told me that he was an Aviation Cadet, to bad, as we have the only legacy for all cadets here in Eureka Springs, AR he would have loved it, perhaps some of the family will one day come here. Tom Gilmer knows all about it.

The Dillmans were so welcoming when we placed membership at the Conroe Church of Christ many years ago. We have always been very appreciative of their caring and their dedication to the church family. Dick was truly a man of God and he lived his life so that others could see Christ in him. We certainly could. Our love and sympathy to you all......Janelee, Jenny and Kemith, Tim and Gretchen, Christina and Lynn as well as all others in his family. Alan and Doris

I flew with Dick as his First Officer at Delta. He was a year younger, but senior to me. He was one of my favorite Captains. My heart goes out to the family for their loss of this great man.
