He graduated from La Porte High School in La Porte, TX Class of 1952 while continuing his education at the University of Texas in Austin, TX, graduating in 1957 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering. He began his career at General Dynamics Corp. and advanced quickly to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He took great pride working for Brown & Root, Northrup in Houston where this firm was responsible for the operations at the NASA Complex at Clear Lake. He worked in the Lunar Receiving Laboratory prior to and during APOLLO Mission #'s 11 & 12 as the Engineering Support Group Lead. He worked tirelessly for numerous Civil Engineering firms but his most recent endeavor of eight years was working for Bleyl Engineering of Conroe, TX.
