Carolyn was born February 16, 1940 in Ft. Lupton, Colorado to Donald and Elwanda Plymel Clark. Growing up in Colorado she enjoyed skiing and spending time on the family ranch. The family eventually relocated to El Paso where she attended Austin High School. The Clark family moved once again and she graduated from Point Loma High School in San Diego, CA in 1958. However, while living in El Paso, Carolyn met and began dating her eventual husband, Frank Lowery. Carolyn married her high school sweetheart on August 17, 1958 at Point Loma Methodist Church in San Diego, CA. The couple had 4 children together and lived in California, Arizona, Tennessee and Wyoming before settling in Texas in 1978. Carolyn was an Executive Assistant at the Woodlands JPA for over 30 years before retiring in June 2010. She was very proud of her career there and made many lasting friends throughout the way. Carolyn enjoyed traveling, especially cruises. She loved gathering photos and keepsakes of her travels which she would turn into scrapbooks to share with everyone. She was an avid bowler and was always up for a card or board game especially Yahtzee which was her favorite. She cherished the time she spent with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Carolyn was always thinking of others and had a smile which brought happiness to all of those she touched.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents Donald and Elwanda Clark. She is survived by her husband Frank Lowery of Montgomery; daughters, Debbie Longan and husband David of Tilden, Texas and Patty Lowery of Oklahoma City, OK; sons, Frank Lowery, Jr and wife Sandi of Conroe and Chris Lowery and wife Amy of Magnolia; brother Ronald Clark and wife Chan of San Diego, CA; grandchildren, Ashley Henderson and husband Joshua, Joshua Longan and wife Brinkley, Jared Longan, Luke Lowery, Chase Lowery; great grandchildren, Hunter Henderson and Kegan Henderson. Numerous other relatives and friends also survive.

The family would like to extend its heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff at Methodist Hospital at the Texas Medical Center and Kindred Hospital in Houston for the genuine compassion, dedication and care they provided not only to Carolyn, but to our entire family as well.
