Stephen R. Harrison of Magnolia, age 49, entered Heaven on February 21, 2014. He was a loving and devoted father, beloved son, and a dear friend to countless people. Steve was born in Beaumont, Texas on December 28, 1964 to William T. Harrison and Michelle Ryan Harrison. He is preceded in death by his wife Carrie Searcy Harrison. He is survived by his daughter Jessica "Reggie" Harrison, his mother and father, a brother, Patrick Ryan Harrison, nephews, Kevin and Keith Harrison, and uncle Leslie Keith Harrison. Steve graduated from Spring High School in 1983. He married his soul mate Carrie on August 28, 1988. After losing her to cancer in 2004, he raised their daughter Jessica as a single dad. Together, he and "Reggie" hunted, fished, and worked on cars together when she wasn't participating in multiple sports. Reggie's love of sports led to Steve's second unofficial job as a softball coach where he spent countless hours coaching and travelling around the country and he rarely ever missed a game. He was extremely proud when Reggie committed to play softball for the University of Arkansas, where she is currently a freshman student-athlete for the Razorbacks. Steve was an avid hunter and auto enthusiast. He rebuilt his first engine when he was thirteen years old and possessed a lifelong love of all things automotive. His automotive knowledge fit perfectly with his 26 year career in automotive industry, the last twelve with AAA Texas as a Senior Field Representative. As a volunteer, Steve was a softball coach with the Texas Peppers Girls Fastpitch Softball Club, and Board Member and league ball coach for the Tomball Girls Softball Association. Steve will be deeply missed by his family, friends, neighbors and the softball community, who could always count on his help and participation. Simply put, if you needed him, he was there with a willing hand and an ever present optimistic smile. A graveside service will take place on Saturday, March 1, 2014, 12:30 PM at Cashner Funeral Home & Cemetery, 801 Teas Rd., Conroe, TX 77303. A celebration of Mr. Harrison's life will follow at 6:00 PM at the Outback Western Wear Banquet Hall, 30405 Dobbin Hufsmith Rd., Magnolia, Texas 77354.
