Carol A. Funk

Carol A. Funk, age 59, after a 15-month illness, passed away on October 31, 2013, at Neighborhood Hospice, West Chester, PA. Carol was born in Camden, daughter of the late John A. Sr. and Evva (nee Wilhelm) Agar. She graduated from Gloucester City High School in 1972 and from Our Lady of Lourdes Nursing School in 1975.

Carol's nursing career was devoted to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital where she worked in the neo-natal intensive care unit for over 20 years. She was enthusiastically involved with family activities particularly enjoying time and events with her 4 grandchildren. Carol was very fond of dogs participating in rescue activities for many years. Carol is survived by her children, Janice C. Ray (James) and Steven G. (Danica), her grandchildren, Aidan, Sadie, and Jane Ray and newly born Henry Funk, her brother, John R. Agar, Jr. (Beatrice), and her nieces, Rebekah and Sarah Agar.

Friends are invited to her Memorial Service on Thursday evening, 8:30 PM in the Frank C. Videon Funeral Home, Sproul and Lawrence Roads, Broomall, PA 19008 to be preceded by a Visitation at 7:00 PM. Donations may be sent in her name to St. Matthews Reformed Episcopal Church, West Chester Pike and Glen Gary Drive, Havertown, PA 19083 or the , 480 Norristown Road, Suite 150, Blue Bell, PA 19422. Interment private.
