Irene Z. Benjamin

BENJAMIN, Irene Z., passed away on March 6, 2014, Age 93, of Marlton, NJ. Irene was born on October 27, 1920 in Philadelphia, PA. She was employed by Wiley Mission Inc. since January 1986 as Front Desk Clerk. She was formerly employed by the Internal Revenue as a Tax Examiner from 1966 to 1972 when she resigned to accept a position at America's Keswick Bible Conference, Whiting, NJ where she served for 12 years, along with her late husband Howard.
Irene was active in many Wiley organizations. She was a member of the Adult Choir, as well as the Women's Missionary Society and Women's Fellowship. She taught Sunday School for over 50 years and was honored by the Philadelphia Sunday School Association as Teacher of the Year in 1973.
Irene was the loving wife of the late Howard Benjamin. She was a devoted mother of Ronald, of Nicholson, PA, the late Kenneth (Kathy) of Levittown, PA and son, Blair, who passed away at age 8. She was the caring sister of Rev. Jack Zuch, Robert Zuch (Barbara), Daisy Patterson, Lois West, and Norma Pejack. She is also survived by her 5 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation on Thursday March 13, from 9 AM to 10:30 AM at Wiley Church, 101 E. Main St., Marlton, NJ. The funeral service will be at the church at 10:30 AM. Interment will be at Keswick Cemetery in Whiting, NJ. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made in Irene's name to the Benjamin Wellness Center, 3054 Birchwood Lane, Columbia, PA 17512.
