Martin David Hecht, age 62, formerly of Maple Shade, NJ, husband of Nancy F. Brown Hecht, of East Pikeland Township, PA, died Thursday morning, May 22, 2014 in his home in Kimberton. Born in San Francisco, CA, he was a son of the late Arthur and Marilyn Hecht. He worked as a computer software engineer for Comverse Technologies in Moorestown, NJ. Martin was an avid reader of Philosophy, especially that of Rudolf Steiner, played flute in concerts with a group in Moorestown, NJ and loved attending Camphill Village's activities throughout the year.

In addition to his wife of 36 years, Mr. Hecht is survived by two children: Nathaniel Hecht, of Phoenixville, PA; Mordecai "Cai" Hecht, husband of Kira Hecht, of Vancouver, British Columbia; three siblings: Doug Hecht, of Bailey, CO; Judy Saucedo, of San Jose, CA; Janet Hecht, of Palo Alto, CA.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at Rose Hall in the Camphill Village at Kimberton Hills; 1601 Pughtown Road, Kimberton, PA 19442 on Sunday, May 25, 2014 at 4:30pm. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in his name to Camphill Village Kimberton Hills or to The Christian Community.
