On March 2, 2013, age 91 years, beloved husband of Rose (Rosie) D. (nee Geest), formerly of Woodlynne and Medford, NJ. Loving father of Warren G. Harbison (Lynne), Jeanne Castagnoli (Jimmie), and Joan Geohegan (David). Beloved grandfather of Jesse, and Joshua Harbison, Justin Zang, Kyle, Kaitlin, and Matthew Geohegan. Great grandfather of Keegan Harbison, and Leah Geohegan. Pre-deceased by his brother Warren, and granddaughter Megan Lee Geohegan.

Mr. Harbison as a young man worked in the CCC in Idaho. He was a Merchant Marine during World War 2, and served in the Asiatic, Pacific, and Atlantic Theaters. He was dedicated to completing dangerous restocking missions to deliver supplies or fuel traveling in stealth to avoid detection. After his service there he began his career as a seaman in the Merchant Marines. He advanced to Captain with the Mobil Oil Corporation, and retired at the age of sixty three. His famous saying was:" Damn Proud To Be In The Merchant Marines". After his retirement he worked part time for the Cape May Lewes Ferry. He also worked part time as Dock Master of many Florida Marinas. He and his wife Rosie served as volunteers for seven summers with the National Forestry Service in Idaho. His summers in Idaho were a highlight in his life.

Mr. Harbison was a member of the Rising Sun Lodge #15 F&AM, Haddonfield, 1st United Methodist Church of Vineland, NJ, and the American Legion.

Viewing will be held Wednesday evening, March 6th, from 6-8:00 PM at the DuBois Funeral Home, 700 S. White Horse Pike, Audubon, NJ. Funeral service will be held at 8:00 PM. at the funeral home.
