Anthony "Tony" Siedlecki, age 92, of Ann's Choice Retirement Community, Warminster, PA and formerly of Haddonfield, NJ died March 4, 2014. Son of the late Blanche (nee Krasinski) and Anthony Siedlecki, he was the brother of the late Albert and Mathew Siedlecki.
A devoted husband, father and grandfather he is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Catherine Woods Siedlecki; two daughters, Patricia Zinsser (Daniel) of Princeton; Margaret Chapman (Alan) of Cherry Hill; a son, John Siedlecki (Tami) of Franklin, TN; and eight grandchildren, Matthew and Jonathan Zinsser; Brittany Zolotas, Melanie, and Glenn Chapman; Ryan, Samantha and Sara Siedlecki and many nieces and nephews.
A 1941 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School, Camden, NJ he attended the Drexel Institute of Technology. During WWII, Tony served in the U.S. Army Air Corps in French Algiers, North Africa. After the war, he began his lifelong career with the NJ Bell Telephone Company (Camden and Cherry Hill) retiring in 1986 as a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. Tony was a member of Christ the King Church, Haddonfield for 47 years. He enjoyed gardening, playing golf, investments, reading, studying history, home renovation, blue grass music, and spending holidays with family. He was fond of dogs and had a quick wit with a dry sense of humor.
A visitation will be at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2014 in Christ the King Church, 200 Windsor Ave., Haddonfield, NJ followed by a Mass at 10:30 a.m. Entombment in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veteran's Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ will be private.
