Barbara Slack Obituary
Born in Elizabeth NJ 1932. Formerly of Pitman NJ later Indian Wells CA and Corona Del Mar CA. Graduated from St. Mary's High School Elizabeth NJ and Douglas College New Brunswick NJ.
Survived by her husband Charles B. Slack Corona Del Mar CA children Walter Samuel Slack II (Chari) Marco Island FL Peter N. Slack (Jill) Pitman NJ and Susan Jane Budd (Robert) West Deptford NJ and 7 grandchildren.
She and her husband built SLACK Incorporated an international healthcare information and education company as a major entity in the marketplace. She held positions of Vice President Production Manager and Editorial Director.
Barbara edited many professional healthcare titles as well as books written by best selling author Leo Buscaglia. She also founded two companies First Impressions specializing in limited edition artwork and Art Caravan a print art sales and marketing company. She served on the Board of Directors of the McCowan Memorial Library in Pitman NJ. She had a wonderful life full of great friends and loved ones. She loved life and approached it with vigor everyday.
Services will be held Friday February 16 10:00am at Sacred Heart Church 430775 Deep Canyon Road at Fred Waring Drive Palm Desert CA. Interment will be Feburary 19 10:00am at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery Pitman NJ.
The family will greatly appreciate flowers or in lieu of flowers contributions to Sacred Heart Church 430775 Deep Canyon Road Palm Desert CA 92260.
