David Scott Layman of Vincentown, age 64 years, passed away suddenly, December 7, 2013 at Virtua Memorial Hospital, Mt. Holly. Scott and his wife Phyllis were dedicated residents of Vincentown for the past 28 years and active in preservation of wetlands and wild habitat. Scott was a Senior Test Engineer for L3 Communications, located in Camden, NJ, formerly known as RCA. While at RCA and L-3, Scott was a participating member of Local 241 Labor Union and served as an active member of the Executive Board, and played a major role in Contract Negotiations and Arbitration cases. He was known for his practical approach to problem solving. His inventive and creative style made him a major asset to every individual and organization within the corporations. In addition to his serious side, Scott was lighthearted and enjoyed everything life had to offer

Beloved husband of Phyllis A. (Nee Horn), loving father of Stefanie G. Layman of Great Meadows, NJ, dear brother of Susan Senatore (Frank) of Galloway, Uncle of Frank Senatore Jr. (Dawn) of Stratford, Jennifer Moughan of Mickleton, Daniel Senatore of Galloway and Jill Strarrett (John) of Palmerton, PA. Great Uncle of 7 nieces and nephews..

Relatives and friends of Scott's family are invited to attend his viewing and visitation from 9:00 to 11:00 AM Friday morning, December 12, at The Lankenau Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Vincentown where his funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM. Immediately following the service, Interment will be at the Vincentown Baptist Cemetery, located on Landing Street, Vincentown.
