Doane Clark Obituary
Pennsauken
Doane P Clark passed away peacefully on Monday, June 6, 2011 with his family present at his bedside. Doane was born on April 17th, 1928 in Philadelphia PA. He went to school at Moorestown Friends and graduated from Merchantiville High School. He was married for 61 years to his beloved wife Dolores Clark (Tice). Father of three children, Kenneth, (his wife Lorene) Wesley and Shirley Haddon. He has seven grandchildren, Jacquelynn Haddon, Ryan Haddon, Sean Clark, Emily Clark, Elise Clark, Cory Ricci and Ashlee Ricci. He is also survived by many much loved nieces and nephews as well as good friends.
He worked at Atlantic Richfield Refinery for 33 years. Doane was very involved with Grace Episcopal church in Merchantville, NJ, where he was a member of the vestry, finance committee and church warden. He was an avid, if not good, golfer, model train devotee, interested in astronomy, bird watching, hot air ballooning and enjoyed boating and sailing. Doane and Dolores were also well seasoned travelers having gone abroad numerous times.
There will be a memorial service at Grace Episcopal Church, Maple Avenue, Merchantville, NJ, at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 8th. Interment will be private. The family suggests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Food Pantry at Grace Episcopal Church, Merchantville, NJ.

Doane was remembered at the Altar of St. John's Church in maple Shade on Trinity Sunday. Many of the members have fond memories of Doane, as do I. When i served as the "Infernal" there many years ago, Doane was one of the bright lights in the parish. A true joy.
May his soul, through the mercy of God, rest in peace and rise in the glory of Christ. Bless you Dolores!

I will miss "Uncle Doane" so very much. He was a wonderful presence in my life growing up and a very special friend ever since. Dee and Doane are two of the most gracious and generous people of I have ever had the honor of knowing. Love you. Bruce an Banta

Millie and I were so saddened about the news of Doane's passing. We had many a good time together over the last 61 years. Now he is in a far far better place than he has ever been. Let us know Dee, if we can do any thing for you.
