I cannot believe you are gone. Jay and I were polar opposites but we got along so well. Jay saved my best friend and I from a very scary South Philly situation when we were in need of assistance. Jay to the rescue and there my cousin was. I knew he always had my back if ever I needed him. The night came where I did! He was there in an instant. I love my cousin. I will miss him forever more. Talking about the why and how, recounting all the memories, expressing the feelin of loss, still can't even touch the hurt and confusion you must feel right now. Saddened by his passing in a way words cant express. Know that I hold constant thoughts of your pain and searching desperately for some meaning, but also thanking God for your family that stands by you to hold you when you need it most, and that he holds Jay by his side.

To see us on the outside, it was an unlikely pair to be friends....but within a short time, the connection was there. Friends for 28 years, I never imagined would be "only" 28 years. A visible source of strength to me. In a crowd, He was the guy that chased and tackled the guy that stole a necklace off a woman's neck, and no one would be surprised by that. He was a guy that might be intimidating to look at, but impossible not to like. He had a wit he rarely shared publicly, but could bring tears of laughter with the person he felt comfortable with. To summarize, a guy that could rattle off economic statistics while always having 3 gym memberships. Then the day I heard the words I'll never forget "I want you to meet Sandi, since she is the one i'm going to be with"...and now... many years later, he still is. Dude, I love you, and my life is better having known you. Sandi, his life of true, unquestionable happiness is a result of having you.

Didn't know him of late, but me and a bunch of people used to train at his gym in Medford on rt 70 over 20 years ago. We couldn't wait to go see him. The Coolest!!

I didn't know Jay personally but I know the heartache of losing someone so suddenly at a very young age. My heart goes out to all Jay's family and friends. Especially Betsy Citrolo, Jay's sister. I pray for your strength and faith. In friendship,

Our condolences and prayers to all Jay's family and friends. We knew Jay through his sister Betsy and remember him as being a smiling, kind and strong person. May the Lord give you strength during this painful time.

The days of growing up with Jay as a cousin will always be remembered as fun and carefree. Jay's humor during the many long Italian famaily dinners in Brooklyn and NJ surrounded by family will forever remain in our hearts.
A big sense of humor and a bigger heart.
Our deepest condolences.
