AGE: 89 • Cherry Hill
Marcel G. Pelletier, Sr. age 89yrs of Cherry Hill, NJ passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on May 13, 2017. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy. Father of Denise Pelletier (Bob Feiertag), Cheryl Fabritiis (John) and Marcel, Jr. (Joanie). Grandfather of Louis Fabritiis (Sarah) and Nicholas Fabritiis. Marcel had a lifelong career in hockey as a professional goalie playing on 6 championship teams. After his playing days were over, he became Director of Player Personnel and Chief Scout for the Philadelphia Flyers. He ended his career as Special Consultant to the Vice President of the Boston Bruins. Hockey was his life and golf his favorite hobby. Services were private at the convenience of the family. Marcel was one of the best card playing hockey players . I once scored a goal on Marcel and he said KITCHEN your shot was so slow I read the C.C.M on the puck ,a real gift for you .. He also coached a team I was on . Marcel was a great guy

So sorry to hear of this news. I loved seeing him when he used to come down to the Capital Centre and the Baltimore arena as a scout for the Bruins when I worked for the Capitals in the early 90's We became friends because we were both big golfers. I brought him out to Fort Meade Golf Course one day in the early 90's and we had a blast. He played the biggest banana ball I've ever seen. His sense of humor was off of the charts. I have some great stories involving my time with Marcel that I'd love to share anytime.
