Helen I. McKee, 74, of Pennsauken, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, April 17, 2014. She was born and raised on a 16 acre farm in Dornsife, PA to the late Castor and Emma Peifer. Helen was a 1958 graduate of Trevorton High School and proudly served her country in the United States Air Force. She worked at Royal Pioneer on Castor and Aramingo Ave in Philadelphia for 34 years. Her grandchildren were her life. She enjoyed sewing, baking, gardening, flea markets, oil painting, and hair dressing. She also loved bird feeding and watching humming birds. She was a devoted member of Temple Lutheran Church in Pennsauken, giving many years to endless functions and support.

She is predeceased by her brother Merlin Peifer. She leaves behind to carry on her legacy, her beloved husband of 55 years, Jack McKee; children Helen I. Rodgers and husband Stephan, Jacqueline Palmer and husband Edward, Patricia Palma and husband Anthony and Pamela (Williams) McKee; grandchildren Melissa Rodgers, Stephanie Rodgers, Vincent Rodgers, Johnny Williams, Danielle Williams, Gianna Palma, Anthony Palma and Eddie Palmer; step grandchildren Danielle Palma, and Desirae Palma; and siblings, Grace Coleman, Paul Peifer, Carlene Taylor, Margie Peifer, Jayne Erdman, Rita Donhochek; dearest friend Eunice Beaver as well as many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 from 10-11AM, followed by an 11AM Funeral Service at Temple Lutheran Church, 5600 US 130, Pennsauken NJ 08110. Helen will be laid to rest at Lakeview Memorial Park in Cinnaminson.
