LAWLER, Christopher, died on August 16, 2014, of Cherry Hill NJ, formerly of Maple Shade. Age 54. Beloved husband and life partner of Douglas R. Venzie. Loving brother of Joseph Jr., Lawrence, Alice, Rosemarie, Michael, Nancy, Paul and Robert. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, family members and friends. Christopher is the son of the late Joseph and Rose Lawler. Christopher was a graduate of Maple Shade H.S. and received his Bachelor's Degree from Glassboro State College (Rowan Univ.), his Master's in English from Rutgers Univ. and his certification in Educational Supervision from Rowan Univ. He was a beloved educator of English and American Literature at Washington Twp. H.S. for 29 years. Because of his love for teaching children and impacting their lives, he was named Teacher of the Year in 2003 and was also an Advisor to the National Honor Society. Relatives and friends are invited to the Service celebrating the life of Christopher Lawler on Saturday September 6 at 9:00am at the Westin Hotel 555 Fellowship Road Mt. Laurel NJ. The family will greet friends at the hotel following the service. The Christopher Lawler Philanthropic Foundation was birthed out of the generosity of those who love and whose lives have been touched by Christopher. It funds scholarships, literacy programs, cancer research and hunger relief efforts which were causes about which Christopher was passionate. With this in mind, the family wholeheartedly requests and thanks you for your donations to the foundation in Christopher's memory in lieu of flowers.
