John A. Monteleone

AGE: 86 • formerly of Haddon Heights

On May 17, 2012, John Monteleone passed away at home surrounded by his loving family. Born and raised in Philadelphia, John had been a longtime resident of Haddon Heights. He was a World War II veteran serving in the US Army and will always be remembered for his love of the small things in life, sarcastic witty nature, imagination-capturing Christmas wonderland displays, and his eternal love for his family and friends which will carry on in all of us.

John is the beloved husband of Marie (nee DiFiore) and son of Francesco Monteleone and Maria (nee Manascalco). He is the devoted father of Lisa Wicks of Holmdel, NJ and Linda Brocco of Gloucester Township. He is the cherished grandfather of Nicholas, Andrew, Kirsten, Alyssa, Johnny, Erik, Matthew, Joseph, and Marc. John is also lovingly survived by his brother, Frank, and his sister, Angie. He was predeceased by his siblings: Virginia, Angelo, Joseph, Nelson, Charles, and Ernest.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Sunday evening from 7:00 - 9:00 PM and again Monday morning 9:45 - 10:45 AM at the HEALEY FUNERAL HOME, 9 White Horse Pike, Haddon Heights. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday 11:00 AM at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 4th Avenue and Kings Highway, Haddon Heights. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill.
