Joseph C. Jr., of Deptford, NJ, passed away on October 25, 2012, surrounded by his loving family at the age of 76 years.
Legacy
A kind, gentle loving gentleman, Joseph was a true patriot at heart. He believed in what America stands for and would have given his life for his country. His honor, integrity and patience was evident in all that he did. Joseph had a kind word for everyone and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He enjoyed playing darts, bowling cooking and fishing. His family will sorely miss his"perfect steak" and his preparation of holiday feasts.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, Joseph was a resident of Deptford since 1986. He served in the United States Navy for 31 years and has traveled the world. During his travels overseas, Joseph met the love of his life, Lydia and together they traveled the world and started their family. After his retirement from the Navy, Joseph was employed by GE and Comcast. He is a lifetime member of the American Legion of Brooklawn, the VFW Chapter 1616 in Washington Township and a member of the Army Navy Garrison of National Park.

Beloved husband of 51 years to Lydia H. (nee Habiba Bulayd Haduani); devoted father of Sandra (Howard) King, Judith Deemers, Joanna (David) Rodman and Sheila Sines; loving grandfather of Victoria (Jeff) Wilson, Megan (Matthew) Waters, Michael Koehnlein, Erin Rodman, Travis King, Shannon Rodman, Ryan Sines, Kellie Rodman, Mackenzie Sines, Trevor Sines and great grandfather of Kali, Jordan, Owen, Ebony, Kian and Jayden; dear brother of Judy Szatkowski. Joseph is predeceased by his parent, Joseph C. Sr. and Eleanor Ruff and a brother Ronald.
Farewell Service
Viewing on Thursday, 10 AM- 12PM in the McGuinness Funeral Home, 34 Hunter Street, Woodbury, NJ where the Farewell Ceremony will follow at 12 PM. Interment Friday, 2PM at Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Williamstown, NJ where Military Honors will be presented.
