AGE: 90 • Haddon Heights

Louis O. "Geno" DiMedio, a 64 year resident of Haddon Heights and Ocean City passed away at home on February 21, 2013.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Mary DiMedio. He is the devoted father of Gene DiMedio (Diana) of Haddonfield, Ronald DiMedio (Carolyn) of Haddon Heights, Dennis DiMedio (Carolyn) of Medford Lakes and the late, Bobby DiMedio. He is the proud grandfather of Gene DiMedio (Beth), Darren DiMedio (Lenore), Douglas DiMedio (Sara), Alicia Lange (Billy), Danielle DiMedio and Bryce DiMedio. He is also the proud great grandfather of 10. He is also survived by his brothers, Anthony DiMedio and Michael DiMedio. He was predeceased by his brothers, Alviso, Silvio, Renato and Alfred and his sister, Gentrice.

Geno was a US Army veteran of the Pacific islands during World War II. Following the war, he dedicated himself to his career at DiMedio Lime Company where he served as president until his retirement due to health reasons. He was also a member of the board of Dubell Lumber Company and he was a member of Tavistock Country Club. In addition, he was a devout catholic and longtime parishioner of St. Rose of Lima.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Monday evening from 7:00 - 9:00 PM and again Tuesday morning from 9:00 - 10:30 AM at the HEALEY FUNERAL HOME, 9 White Horse Pike, Haddon Heights, NJ. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday morning, 11:00 AM, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 4th Avenue and Kings Highway, Haddon Heights. Entombment Calvary Mausoleum, Cherry Hill. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to either: the Lourdes Foundation, 1600 Haddon Avenue, Camden, NJ 08103; the Joseph Fund, 2907 Federal Street, Camden, NJ 08105; or to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 6931 Arlington Road, Suite 200, Bethesda, MD 20814.
