Peter Falchetta

AGE: 94 • Haddon Heights

On March 7, 2013, Pete Falchetta passed away at Burlington Woods Nursing Facility. Born in Philadelphia, Mr. Falchetta served in the US Army during World War II. After being honorably discharged, he returned to the Philadelphia Inquirer where he worked for a total of 48 years retiring in 1986as the Art Director for the paper. After his retirement, Pete devoted much of his time to constructing manger scenes earning the unofficial title "Mr.Manger." Mr. Falchetta was a devoted parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Parish in Haddon Heights serving as an usher for many years. He also was a member of the Haddon Heights Lions Club and he developed several logos for the Borough of Haddon Heights including the bicentennial logo.

Peter is the beloved husband of 62 years to Shirley (nee Tubman). He is the devoted father of Peter Thomas (Winnie), John (Irma), Linda (the late, Frank) Meinel, James (Lisa) and Stephen (Leah). He is also lovingly survived by 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Monday evening from 7:00 - 9:00 PM andagain Tuesday morning from 9:30 - 10:30 AM at the HEALEY FUNERAL HOME, 9 White Horse Pike, Haddon Heights. His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday morning, 11:00 AM, at St.Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 4th Avenue and Kings Highway, Haddon Heights. Interment New St. Mary's Cemetery, Bellmawr.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to either the or St. Rose of Lima Parish.
