Howard E. Murray Jr.

AGE: 78 • Westmont

Howard E. Murray Jr. Age 78, Westmont, formerly of Philadelphia area passed away on December 21st. Son of the late Howard and Margaret. Husband of Marianne for 37 years. Brother of Marge (Harry) Redfearn, Louise (Bob) Siegman and Carol (John) Streck. Father of Dan, Tami (Nick) Marano and Tim. Stepfather of Jenn (Matt) Mihalecsko. Best friend to grandkids Nicholas, Kristie, Derek and Avery.

Howard served in the United States Marine Corps from 1957-1963; stationed at Cherry Point, NC and the Panama Canal. His career in the field of printing spanned from inked pages to computerized typesetting-serving as supervisor of pagination for ROCAPPI Printing. One of Howard's productions was on display in the Franklin Institute for many years.

After retirement, he proofread medical books for Mosby Printing Co. Howard participated 3 years in the NJ Senior Olympics where he was known as "The Brute", winning 17 gold and silver medals from shot put to basketball. He also won awards in baseball and bowling.

Howard was Vice President of this area's volunteers for The Deborah Hospital Heart and Lung Center. Howard joined The Kapo's Gang Clown College where he was known by his clown name "Diddly Squat". Summers were spent on LBI with love and laughter with all the friends and family who visited...and in his memory, the love and laughter will continue. Howard has donated his body to the study of medicine at the University of Pennsylvania through the Humanity Gifts Registry.
