Kevin Wise Obituary

Kevin L. Wise

AGE: 49 • Of Shamong, NJ

Passed away peacefully in his family home on July 20, 2016. He was the devoted son of Linda Wise (nee Taylor) and the late W. Sprague Wise, Sr., dear brother of Sharon Wise, W. Sprague Wise, Jr. (Megan), and Christopher Wise (Nicole), and beloved uncle of Ben Brown, Evangeline, Rosalie, Elizabeth and Colby Wise,

Faith, family, service to community, and entrepreneurship were the hallmarks of Kevin's life.

He attended The First Presbyterian Church of Haddonfield as a baby, continuing until late into adulthood. He was an active member of the Church Choir and Bells for several years.

In his youth, Kevin was a Cub Scout and Boy Scout. He had the honor of receiving the Arrow of Light Award, the highest-ranked award available to Cub Scouts. Kevin graduated from Moorestown Friends School and attended Wittenberg University in Ohio, where he continued with his love of the choir and bells. Kevin returned from college to work at the family business, Wise Tag & Label Co. Inc., where he began at the age of 13, reaching the rank of Executive before the business was sold. Kevin held many titles throughout his life, most notably President of Wise Systems, a company he started in 1986. Kevin also owned his own catering business, Mill Pond Catering, for several years. Kevin also served on the Shamong Township Planning Board for 20 years, and was Deputy Chairman until his passing. Kevin enjoyed photography, golfing, cooking, and friends. For many years, Kevin volunteered as timekeeper for several South Jersey swimming events. He also participated with his catering business at the St. Joan of Arc Carnival for 32 years. Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation from 3:30 to 5:00 on August 18, 2016, at the BRADLEY FUNERAL HOME, Rt. 73 & Evesham Rd., Marlton, NJ. A Memorial Service will follow at 5:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Jersey Wahoos Foundation (for the construction of the 50 meter pool), 4101 Church Rd., Mt. Laurel, NJ 08054.

Kevin was an incredible human being who thought of others more than himself. Grateful to have known him and spent time with him at Moorestown Friends School so many years ago. May his memory always be a blessing and an inspiration that others might follow a better path in life. I thank God for the promise of the resurrection and know that Kevin will find his joy with God!

Kevin was a true friend of our family. He was one of the most dedicated people who helped make the St. Joan of Arc Carnival a success. Booth #6 and #19 would always go head to head trying to out do each other. Many fond memories were created during those times. You will be sadly missed. Rest in peace Kevin. You deserve it.

A great man who lived his life through the kindness of his heart. Always wanted to help out others, and never asked for anything in return. Your Jersey Wahoo family will miss you Kevin, thanks so much for all you have done for so many of us. RIP
