Frank Harrison Obituary

Frank W. Harrison
Evansville, IN
Frank W. Harrison, 81, of Evansville, passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at St. Mary's Medical Center.
Frank was born February 17, 1933 in Dugger, IN to John Clyde Harrison, who preceded him in death and surviving mother, Mary Ann (Molly) Harrison. He graduated from Union High School in 1951, attended Ball State University and graduated from Indiana Teachers College in 1962. Frank served 4 years in the Navy during the Korean Conflict.
Frank worked at the US Geological Survey, Addressograph in Terre Haute, IN and Royal Office Products in Evansville. He opened his own business, Electronic Duplicating Company in 1975. He expanded his company to Indianapolis and South Bend, IN. After some illness, he joined Tri State Addressing and worked there until present time.
Frank was a faithful member of Fairlawn United Methodist Church and had been a Lay Leader since 1965. He was the Emcee and a singer with the Men of C.O.LO.R. since 1997, the group was like a second family to him.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 26 years, Laverna (Kopp) Harrison; daughters, Jeanine Smith and Donna Rene Agerton; mother, Mary Ann (Molly) Gilbert; step-sister, Joyce Povolock (Roger); step-brother, Jay D. Gilbert (Dottie); step-children, Diane Burkhart, Kenneth Burkhart and Donna Burkhart Feury; grandchildren, Nick, Derek, Jenika, Chris, Sarah, Ben and Katie; step-grandchildren, Emily, Eric, William, Evan, Alex and Adam; great-grandchildren, Hayden, Maleah, Madalynn, McKenzie, Carsen and Kylen; cousins and numerous 2nd and 3rd cousins.
Frank never met a stranger. He always had a great outlook on life. He was a most giving person and he would do anything for anybody. He was a Christian in every sense of the word and treated people as he wanted to be treated. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
You knew when Frank came into a room. He never met a stranger and would give them the shirt off his back. He will be remembered by everyone he met. He was a kind gentle and honest man. Frank will be greatly missed!
Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm, Thursday, April 3, 2014 at Fairlawn United Methodist Church, 2001 S. Parker Dr., Evansville with Reverend Randy Owens and Reverend Randy Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Dearest Jeanine & Donna Rene, from your long ago neighbor on Crystal Court, "Jody Miller" Stephens. Bless you during this difficult time. I will always remember your Dad as such a kind & gentle man with a sweet smile. He always threw his hand, high in the air to wave greetings to his neighbors as we came & went. Again, bless you all & know that I am thinking of you & remember your Dad fondly. Love, peace & prayers, ~Jody
