Elizabeth 'Liz' Lindauer
Troy, Ind.
Elizabeth "Liz" Rebecca Lindauer, 90, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 9, 2014, at her home with her family.
She was born March 14, 1924, to the late Anthony and Ellen (Dunn) Russell. The eldest of ten children, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Rev. Nellie Hempfling, Mary Glover, Alta "Pearl" Stolz, Fern Laverty, Doris, Pete, Homer and Tony Russell.
A homemaker, Liz enjoyed cooking for her family and enjoying her grandchildren.
Surviving are her husband, Norbert Lindauer, of Troy; children, James (Nancy) Cassidy and Barbara Varner, all of Troy; a brother, Larry Russell, of Tell City; six grandchildren, Krista (Scott) Boehman, Jimmy (Kelly) Cassidy, Tammy Cassidy-Luecke, Jenny (Jerry) Chappell, Jessica (Sean Bugg) Varner and Jodi (Brian) Griepenstroh; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Services will be at 11 a.m. CST on Tuesday, August 12, 2014, at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Collins Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday 9 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Collins Chapel Cemetery.
