Marjorie "Marg" J. (Negley) Triplett
Evansville, Ind.
Marjorie "Marg" Jane (Negley) Triplett, 83, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Sunday, September 4, 2011 at Deaconess Hospice.
Marg was born in Evansville, Indiana on January 6, 1928 to the late Leo and Amelia (Schnacke) Negley. She grew up in Evansville; graduated from Memorial High School in 1946 and lived her entire life in the Evansville area. Marg worked downtown at deJongs and she was an Avon Lady for many years. Later in life she stayed home to spend time with her family and was a homemaker. Marg and John loved to dance. They were members of several dance clubs including the Friday Night Dance Club and they won many dance competitions. Marg and John also enjoyed traveling across the U.S., Mexico and Canada. She was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church.
Marg is survived by her husband of 62 years, John Triplett of Evansville, IN; sons, Roger (Trish) Triplett of NJ; Randy Triplett of Evansville, IN; and one grandson, Tyson Triplett.
Marg is preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Richard, Jim and Jack Negley.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 AM Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 600 Herndon Drive, Evansville, Indiana 47711. Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Avenue, Evansville, Indiana 47711 where there will be a prayer service at 7:30 PM.
Friends may also visit from 9:30 AM until service time on Wednesday at church.
