Barbara Ann (Duley) Lehmann
Barbara Ann (Duley) Lehmann, 61, passed away Saturday, August 18, 2012, at Parkview Regional Medical Center.
Born in Seattle, Wash., Barb spent most her childhood in Mount Vernon, Ind., where she graduated from Mount Vernon High School in 1969. She earned a Bachelors degree in Education at Indiana University
- Bloomington in 1973. Barb then gained a Masters degree in Education at Indiana University-Purdue University
Fort Wayne during her early years of teaching. Barb was a teacher (1st, 2nd and most recent 3rd grade) with JE Ober Elementary School for 38 years, retiring in June 2012. She was a member of American Sewing Guild, and of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church. She was very active in sewing, embroidery, and quilting. She cherished most spending time with her family.
Surviving are her loving husband of 31 years, Robert Lehmann of Fort Wayne; mother, Lola Mae Healy of Mount Vernon; daughter, Elizabeth "Liz" Lehmann, of Denver, Colo.; son, 2nd Lt Robert S. Lehmann; sisters, Sandra (Tom) Kincheloe, Marilyn (Roger) Boyer, Debbie (Scott) Minton, all of Mount Vernon; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Barbara was preceded in death by father, Clifford Duley; and step-father, Paul Healy. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service is 5 p.m., Friday, August 24, 2012, at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, 4700 Vance Avenue, Fort Wayne with calling from 2 p.m. until the service, Pastor Craig Duke officiating.
