Claude J. "Panny" Harp, 87, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Monday, February 4, 2013 at his home.
Claude was born in Evansville, Indiana on December 26, 1925. Claude worked as a sprinkler fitter for Local Union 669, he retired after 62 years of service. He served in the United States Navy, he was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the VFW Post #1114. Claude enjoyed horse racing, gardening and especially spending time with his grandchildren.
Claude is survived by his sons, Stephen (Susan) Harp of Evansville, IN and David (Julie) Harp of Batavia, IL; grandchildren, Kaitlin (Shaun) Anderson, Kari Harp and great-granddaughters, Ava and Nora Anderson.
Claude was preceded in death by his first wife, Mildred L. Harp in 1999, his second wife, Casondra Harp in 2006, mother and step father, Katherine (Rigor) and Chester Crockett.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, Indiana 47711 with Rev. Steve Clayton officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery where the Retired Veterans Memorial Club will conduct military rites.
Friends may visit from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Friday, February 8, 2013 at Browning Funeral Home.
