David Robert Kast
David Robert Kast, 62, of Evansville, passed away at 6:05 p.m. Sunday, January 19, 2014, at his home.
David was born August 27, 1951, in Ann Arbor, Mich., to Casper and Eleanor (Clark) Kast. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Natural Resources from University of Michigan
, a Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration from University of Evansville and a Master's Degree of Divinity from Oakland City University. David was the former president of Bethel Sanitarium and an administrator of Bethel Manor for many years. David was a beloved Chaplain at Deaconess Gateway Hospital and was an elder at Evansville First Seventh Day Adventist Church. He loved gardening and was a master gardener.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 33 years, Cheryl (Crane) Kast; daughters, Melissa Kast, of Atlanta, Ga., and Alison Kast, of Evansville; sister, Mary Ellen Ladd (Thomas), of Indianapolis; brother, William Kast, of Denver, Colo., and many loving nieces and nephews.
David was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial Services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, January 25, 2014, at Evansville First Seventh Day Adventist Church, 41 West Campground Road with Pastor Richard Norris officiating. Burial will be private.
Friends may call from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, January 24, 2014, at Boone Funeral Home - East Chapel, 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville.
