Earl C. Wilson
Earl C. Wilson, 86, of Evansville passed away at 9:24 pm, Friday, December 7, 2012 at Deaconess Hospital.
Earl was born December 22, 1925 in Cynthiana, Indiana the son of Edmund and Vera (Robbins) Wilson. He was a graduate of Cynthiana High School. Earl earned his Bachelor of Science from Evansville College (now U of E) and his Masters of Business Administration from Indiana State University. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force
, serving during WWII
. Earl had worked at Mead Johnson for 15 years and retired from Industrial Contractors, Inc. after 20 years as Vice President of Finance. He was a member of Central United Methodist Church, where he taught Sunday School and was past president of the administrative board. Earl was very involved in his community. He was past president of Scott Township Civic Club, Certified Administrative Manager, a member of the Institute of Management Accountants, past president of Administrative Management Society, 38 year board member of YMCA of Southwest Indiana and past chairman of the member service committee of the YMCA.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Jo Anne (Freshley) Wilson of Evansville, daughter, Shanna O'Shaughnessy (Michael) of Pekin, IL, son, M. Shane Wilson (Leitha) of Evansville, grandchildren, Brian, Jacob and Molly O'Shaughnessy and Andrew, Nicholas and Abbie Wilson, several nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Ralph and Paul Wilson.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 am, Thursday, December 13, 2012 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel - 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville with Pastor Jack Scott officiating. Burial will be in Centenary Cemetery where the Vanderburgh County Retired Veterans Memorial Club will perform full military rites.
Friends may call from 3 pm until 8 pm, Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at Boone Funeral Home - East Chapel.
