Frederick 'Fred' Louis Paff II
Frederick "Fred" Louis Paff II, 72, formerly of Henderson, Ky., passed away at 2:30 a.m. Friday, February 28 2014, at St. Mary's Medical Center, Evansville, Ind. Fred was a Henderson native, having been born and raised there. He was a graduate of Henderson County High School, class of 1959. Fred was a United States Army
veteran and a Kentucky Colonel. He previously served as a firefighter
on the Henderson City Fire Department. Fred owned and operated a service station. Later, he went on to open an auto parts store which he operated with Peno Christian. In 1977, he moved to Evansville. He worked for Raben Tire Company for over 36 years. Fred loved UK Basketball, auto racing, jazz music, and was a model train enthusiast.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred L. Sr. and Virginia Doris Paff. Survivors include his son, Fred Paff and his wife, Tina, of Henderson, Ky.; two brothers, Robert M. Paff and wife, Gayle, of Henderson, Ky., and Richard Carl Paff and wife, Laura, of Boonville, Ind.; two sisters, Judy Crimmin, of Sugar Grove, Ill., and Virginia Doris Beasley and husband, David, of Reed, Ky.; grandson, Jonathan Paff; several nieces and nephews; several great-nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to Fred's Life Celebration from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 3, 2014, and again on Tuesday starting at 9 a.m. until service time at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home, Henderson, Ky. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home with the Reverend Chuck Summers officiating. Burial will be held at a later date. Military honors will be rendered by the American Legion Worsham Post #40. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to: Multiple Sclerosis Society.
