O. Howard Hadley
O. Howard Hadley, 83, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at St. Mary's Warrick Hospital.
Howard was born July 11, 1929, in Tennyson to Lawrence and Nellie (Heilman) Hadley.
He was a graduate of Folsomville High School.
Howard attended United Fellowship Community Church in Elberfeld.
He was a Korean War Army
veteran and worked 39 years in strip mining, operating heavy equipment.
Howard was a member of the UMWA since 1954, a member of Gentryville Masonic Lodge #424 F&AM for 58 years, a member of Evansville Scottish Rite, life member Boonville VFW
Post #3418 and Boonville American Legion.
Preceding Howard in death were his sisters, Marjorie and Edith Hadley, Muriel Elliott; brothers, Lowell, Walter Hadley; his parents, Lawrence and Nellie Hadley.
Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Dorothy J. (Barr) Hadley; brothers, Lloyd (Jean) Hadley, of Evansville, Royal (Sue) Hadley, of Lynnville; sister, Eva Engels, of Tennyson; three nieces, Kara Black (Scott), Jeana B. Smiley, Phyllis J. Wendt (Ken); several great-nieces and nephews; special cousin, Don Phillips, many friends.
Funeral service 10 a.m. Monday, April 8, 2013, at Koehler Funeral Home-Boonville Chapel. Friends may call Sunday, April 7 from 2 to 8 p.m. and Monday 9 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. A Masonic Memorial Service will be at 7 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in Little Zion Cemetery with military rites by the Warrick County Veterans Memorial Services.
Memorial contributions in memory of Howard may be made to the United Fellowship Community Church or the Bread of Life Ministry.
