Leo G. Muensterman, 92, of Evansville, passed away Sunday, March 9, 2014 at University Nursing and Rehab, formerly known as the Little Sisters of the Poor.
Leo was a life member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and was a long time Whirlpool employee. He started at Whirlpool June 28, 1946, and retired September 1, 1983 as a Press Shop Set Up Man. Leo was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving overseas during WW II.
Surviving Leo are his wife of 63 years, Frances (Hurst) Muensterman, along with four sons, Joseph (Pam), Henry, Thomas and Paul Muensterman. Also surviving him are his twin sister, Leona Strange; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Leo was preceded in death by three brothers and six sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at University Nursing and Rehab 1236 Lincoln Ave, Rev. Ted Tempel officiating. Entombment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family from 4 until 6 p.m. on Monday at University Nursing and Rehab where there will be a rosary at 4:30 p.m. Friends may also visit with the family from 9:30 a.m. until service time on Tuesday at University Nursing and Rehab.
