Paul J. Schum, 86, passed away on March 12, 2013, at Memorial Hospital, to be with previously departed loved ones.
He was born on April 13, 1926, in Dale, Indiana, to the late Edward and Rosella (Bettag) Schum. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lee (Cooper) Schum, and his sister Lorena Felhoelter.
He is survived by his daughter, Judy Justice, of Ogden, UT.; son, Curtis Schum, and wife, Lisa, of Evansville, IN.; grandson Joshua Schum, and wife, Mary, of Chicago, Il.; granddaughter, Emily Schum of St. Louis, MO.; brother, Raymond Schum, of Cathedral City, CA.; and sister, Bernice Rosenstein, of Indianapolis, IN.
He served in World War II in the United States Marine Corps in the Pacific Theatre, and worked at Witte Milling Company in Dale, Indiana, for 48 years. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and woodworking; and took pleasure in regularly visiting Lincoln State Park, in Lincoln City, IN.
Visitation will be Friday March 15, from 10:30 AM till 12:30 PM CST at Fuller Funeral Home. With Graveside Services following at 1PM CST at Dale Cemetery.
