Vivian Arlene (Cooper) Woodruff
Evansville, Ind.
Vivian Arlene (Cooper) Woodruff, 80, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Saturday, December 29, 2012 at her daughter's home in Chandler, Indiana.
Vivian was born in Reed, Kentucky on May 7, 1932. She was a member of the Rotary Club, the Red Hat Society, the Eastern Star, Order of Amaranth, and an Honored Lady of the Shrine. She was also a Kentucky Colonel and a Daughter of the Nile. Vivian was a faithful member of Cypress Baptist Church in Boonville.
Vivian is survived by her daughter, Donna Craig; grandchildren, Julie (Tim) Osha, Shawn Craig, Kelly Craig and Karie Ann Craig; 8 great-grandchildren; an aunt and several cousins.
Vivian is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Floyd "Woody" Ivan Woodruff; her daughter, Jo Ann Bissey Overton; her father when she was 6months old; and by her mother, Blanche Alma (Yates) Cooper when she was 6 years old.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., with Pastor A. Todd Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at Browning Funeral Home where a ceremony will be held by Order of the Amaranth at 6:30 and another ceremony by Daughters of the Nile at 7:00 pm. Friends may also visit from 9:00 AM until service time on Thursday.
