Evansville, Ind.
Delbert J. Fischer, 80, of Evansville, passed away Sunday, June 21, 2015, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital. He was born June 27, 1934, in Evansville, to the late John and Anna (Krieger) Fischer.
He worked at Whirlpool for 39 years. He was a member of the Cynthiana Masonic Lodge #710 for 53 years, the Scottish Rite, Swords of Bunker Hill, Golden Fleece Eastern Star #178, and member of the Grand Cross of Color for the International Order of the Rainbow Girls. Delbert was a member of St. Stephen Community Church where he fried sausage every year during the Sausage Supper at the church. He enjoyed fishing, singing, working on lawn mowers, traveling and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Delbert is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, John (Mitch), Robert (Bob), and James (Jim) Moore; one sister; and a son-in-law, Wayne Williamson.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Pearl (Scherer) Fischer; daughters, Lisa Tate of Wylie, Texas, and Emilie Williamson of Boonville; grandchildren, Deanna Tate (Jase Dulik), Caleb Tate, John Williamson (Emily), and Beth Williamson; and great-grandchildren, Maryam Mahmoud, Noura Mahmoud and Nathanael Delbert; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, June 25, 2015, at St. Stephen Community Church, 12152 South 200 East in Warrenton, officiated by Rev. Steve Oeth, with burial in St. Stephen Cemetery. Friends may visit Wednesday from 2 to 8 p.m. at Alexander North Chapel, 4200 Stringtown Road and Thursday from 10 a.m. until service time at the church. There will be a Scottish Rite walk through at 6:15 p.m., Masonic service at 6:30 p.m. and Eastern Star service at 7 p.m. on Wednesday.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Cynthiana Masonic Lodge #710 or St. Stephen Community Church. Condolences may be made online at AlexanderNorthChapel.com.

Pearl,you may not remember Gilbert and Lois Gross. I went into Cynthiana Lodge in 1972 when Delbert was WM.So sorry for your (our) loss.We moved to Pocatello,Idaho in 1976.Always enjoyed visiting with Delbert and the other Brothers when we came back for visits.Delbert would be happy to know that I have served as WM 11 times for two Lodges here. I had not seen or talked to Delbert in years, but sure do remember his humor and always being greeted with a hug, a smile and usually a joke. He will surely be missed and I sure wish I would have been able to enjoy he and Pearl over these years that I have not gotten to see them. We moved to Knoxville in 2003. Prayers for comfort to Pearl and the family.
