Bernice was such a bright influence to children and an encouragement to those of us younger in ministry. She was a Proverbs 31 woman of faith.

Bernie Roedel was a huge influence on me as a child growing up. I always looked forward to seeing & hearing her if she was going to be in my area. I remember her as being a 'classy lady' I am sure that she was also a huge influence to others as myself. She will be missed!

I am blessed that God allowed Bernice Roedel to come into my life. She was 17 when she held her first evangelistic revival at West Side Church of the Nazarene (now Grace Church of the Nazarene), Evansville, IN. I was only 8 but her angelic smile and sweet voice have stayed with me all my life and she has been a role model to me because, as was Oswald Chambers, she was a life hidden in Christ. After she married Miller Gerbig, I said to Bernice, I always thought of you, Bernice, as being fulfilled in Christ. As Miller Gerbig stood proudly by her side, Bernice smiled her angelic smile and said so sweetly, I am! God just gave me a bonus. Our whole Gresser family loved and admired Bernice.

I have known Bernice since I was a child growing up in Boonville Nazarene Church & working at the same place together. She was a Godly Woman & a saint. May she rest in peace.

Aunt Bernie was a wonderful caring loving person that served her Lord faithfully throughout her entire life. I am so thankful to have had the last three years getting closer to her and learning so much from her wisdom. I will love and miss her always. Love and prayers Aunt Bernie!!!
