Aera Lee (Wigner) Bruner, 57, of Evansville, passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2012, at I.U. Hospital in Indianapolis, Ind.
Before becoming ill she was manager at Express Mart. She enjoyed crocheting, bowling and puzzles. Most of all, Aera was a loving mother, grandmother and sister, truly enjoying the time she spent with her children and grandchildren. She was known as a kind and compassionate person, always giving of herself to others.
She was preceded in death by her parents,George and Joyce Wigner; sister, Tootie Janke; and brother, Clifton Hancock.
Aera is survived by her daughters, Desra McDaniel and partner, Zoe Smith, of Evansville, Andrea Suter and husband, Jeremy, of Chandler, Katie McDaniel and partner, Tammy Wildt, of Evansville; grandchildren, Braelyn Smith, Alyx Smith, Samantha Suter and Camryn Smith-McDaniel; sisters, Lauretta (Robert) Tate, of Evansville, Pamla (Scott) Winget, of Newburgh and Penny (Kenny) McElwee, of Chandler; half brother, Donald Hancock, of Oklahoma; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 2 until 8 p.m. Friday, June 22, 2012, at Ziemer Funeral Home North Chapel, 6300 N. First Ave., Evansville, IN 47710, and continuing from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 23, 2012, at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery.
