Alice V. Baldwin, 84, died Saturday January 12, 2013, at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne.
Alice was born on December 22, 1928, in Grandview, Ind., to the late Clay and Evelyn (James) Deweese. She married Joseph N. Baldwin on December 26, 1976, in Petersburg, Ind. Alice taught school for 32 years and was the former Librarian of the Carnegie Public Library in Butler. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Butler. Alice was Past Matron of the Butler Order of Eastern Stars and a member of the Spencerville Chapter 386 O.E.S.. Alice enjoyed traveling, some of her favorite trips were to Russia, Israel and Belize South America. She was also in the Peace Corps.
Alice is survived by her husband, Joseph N. Baldwin, of Butler.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Deweese.
Services are 2 p.m. Friday at the H.E. Johnson and Sons Funeral Home in Butler, with calling from noon until service time. Pastor Paul A. Patton of the Church of the Nazarene will be officiating. Burial will be in the Butler Cemetery. Memorials are to the Church.
