Chloetta Mae Glassford, 69, of Evansville, passed away Sunday, January 6, 2013, at The Heritage Center. She was born March 15, 1943, in Petersburg, IN.
Chloetta was a warm, caring person who loved to spend time with her family. For the past 15 years, she spent her time between Okeechobee, FL and Evansville. She enjoyed SWIRCA and was past member of the Evansville Lapidary Society where she enjoyed making jewelry. While in Florida, she visited beaches and spent time fishing.
She previously attended North Park Baptist Church.
In the past she managed and worked at various country clubs and restaurants. Most recently Chloetta had been a caregiver.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Julia Putler; and step-mother, Mabel Perry.
Chloetta is survived by her daughters, Lisa Glassford of Evansville and Dana Burton (James) of Daylight, IN; grandchildren, Zachary Burton and Melissa Khan, Miranda Burton and James Vollman and great grandchild, Lucy Vollman; father, Robert Perry; long-time partner, Lloyd Gentry; brothers, Sonny Perry, Darryl Putler (Gwen), Ottis Putler (Debbie) and Myron Putler (Vickie); sisters, Linda Nelson (Jess), Deanna Kluemper (Eddie), Barbara Miller (Gene), Doris Catt (Fred) Dessie Stafford (Terry); nieces and nephews; Lloyd's family, Hugh Gentry (Linda), Deanne Lehman (Bob) and Patrick Gentry, grandchildren, Sarah Ramsey (David), Veronica Lehman and Abby Lehman.
Services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, January 10, 2013, at Alexander North Chapel, officiated by Rev. Arthur Christmas, with entombment in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Wednesday from 2:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
